TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

Tab Trade — The Short Version

TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Pair those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should be part of how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works is your call.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
